I know reading books (hard copy or kindle) is becoming a bit of a chore for many. With the Covid induced lockdowns, many bookstores have shut down and those which are left open are struggling to make end meets. Book meets, author interviews, Literature festivals have moved online thereby even reducing chances of book discussions.

Nevertheless, For close to 5 years in the last decade (2010–15), i followed the habit of reading a minimum of 52 books in a year (min 1 a week). I can count number of excuses, but let’s just say the habit flow got broken and despite trying multiple times, i couldn’t just made the flow. The books were read once in a while when in complete isolation and rarely in one go.

Lockdown gave an opportunity to get back the speed and fluency back in reading books. More time on hand while staying at home also helped in finishing books in one go (I prefer reading at a stretch to delve into the word, to understand the deliberations of characters better).

Starting 2021, here is hoping 1 book every week to be written. I may or may not review it, but surely would read one.
